The Assistant Director of Student Financial Aid and Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program Manager assumes primary administrative responsibility for all aspects of the program in the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA). This position annually manages more than $1 million in federal funds providing part-time employment to approximately 400 eligible need-based students. This position is responsible for managing an employment website, all Human Resources/payroll/supervision/training duties for America Reads Tutors and other off-campus site student workers under the FWS program, reviewing and documenting policies and procedures, advising and assisting participating University departments and students, executing and adjusting FWS awards, account reconciliations, monthly monitoring of expenditures levels and associated reporting, assistance with annual FISAP report preparation and submission, and off-campus site development and oversight. This position serves as liaison to off-campus agencies employing or interested in employing FWS student workers. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director. Supervises temporary and student workers, and provides assistance to other areas of office as needed.
